Area beef producers are being featured in a special Beef Month section of the Albion News/Boone County Tribune.
Among those producers is the Malander family, which works a cow-calf operation and a 5,000 head feed lot in northern Nance County.
They’ve been farming and raising livestock for several generations along the Cedar River.
Shown above are Mike and Rick Malander with their Red Angus cattle.
Also featured are Amanda and Josh Beierman with their 23>83Farms direct beef sales business, and Christo Cattle Co., producers of breeding and show cattle.
