Jeane Temme named Living Auxiliary Member

Jeanne Temme of Petersburg, a long time member of the VFW Post 736 Auxiliary in Albion, was introduced as the 2023 Living Auxiliary Member during Memorial Day ceremonies on the Boone County Courthouse lawn Monday.
A special presentation was also made at Albion’s downtown mini-park where an American Flag will fly in her honor until Veteran’s Day.
Mrs. Temme has served as auxiliary secretary for several years, and is currently the District 15 VFW Auxiliary secretary.
n serving the auxiliary, she was instrumental in making curbside service available for the annual soup supper during the pandemic. She recently took charge of organizing the Honor Escort for veterans who have died in the local hospital or long term care facilities.
