Albion’s Cardinal Inn opening new guest rooms as construction nears completion

Newly completed guest rooms are being opened at the Cardinal Inn Hotel and Event Center in Albion.
The hotel has been undergoing a major expansion since it was purchased by Jerry and Karen Niewohner in 2022. Work began last November to expand the Event Center to a capacity of 700 people.
Soon after that project began, the hotel began expanding its guest room wing to the west to add 23 more guest rooms.
When the entire project is completed the hotel will have 66 total guest rooms, according to Kay Helbusch, manager.
