Bike Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) will be making a stop in Petersburg on Wednesday, June 5. A steering committee of members from the Petersburg Community Foundation, Petersburg Community Club, Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion Post 162 and the St.

Andy Elder joined Great Plains State Bank, Petersburg branch, as vice president and loan officer last Monday, April 15. He joins Todd Heithoff, market president, and all other current staff members there.

Boone Central’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members earned gold and silver ratings in District Leadership STAR competition held April 6-9 in Lincoln. The 19 students from Boone Central competed along with members from across Nebraska.

For anyone who is interested in becoming a Petersburg EMT, the Albion Department is in the process of scheduling EMT classes. However, no date has been set.

Boone Central FBLA had one of their best state leadership conferences of all time last week, April 11-13, at Kearney. Bella Meyer became the first Boone Central student to win the Job Interview event.

Oliva, daughter of Martin and Amy Klein, and Kaitey, daughter of Kevin and Lisa Schumacher, were recently selected to attend the 2024 Nebraska Attorney General’s Youth Conference. They will attend the day-long conference on April 16th with other selected Juniors from across Nebraska.
