Four Newman Grove churches -- Immanuel Zion Lutheran, Newman Grove Methodist, Shell Creek Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran celebrated the 150th anniversaries of their founding last Sunday, April 14, with a meal and special program.

Ordinances confirming the sale of two lots in the new Fowlkes Second Addition to Newman Grove were confirmed by ordinances adopted at the Newman Grove City Council meeting Thursday night, April 11. One lot, Lot 5 Block B, was sold to James and Janell Wyant.

Four Newman Grove churches -- Immanuel Zion Lutheran, Newman Grove Methodist, Shell Creek Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran are celebrating the 150th anniversary of their founding in 2024. This Sunday, April 14, will be the collective day of celebration for all four churches founded in 1874.

A basement has been completed for the first home in the Fowlkes Second Addition to Newman Grove. The new home of Jim and Janell Wyant will be installed on this structure soon. Newman Grove FFA members will be involved in many contests and activities at the Nebraska State FFA Convention this week, April 3-5, in Lincoln. State FFA Degree recipients from Newman Grove will be Trent Patzel, Austin Wiese, Cora Patzel and Christyan Anderson.

Newman Grove FFA was selected to receive grant funding recently from Farmers Pride & Land O’ Lakes. Kirt Aase of Farmers Pride (second from right) presented the grant last week to (l.-r.) FFA members Austin Wiese and Trenton Patzel, and FFA advisor Mikayla Martensen.
