St. Edward and Newman Grove Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a training program this Thursday, April 25, on volunteer fire and rescue for juniors at both St. Edward and Newman Grove High Schools from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Rebekah Ketelsen, a junior at St. Edward High School, has been selected to attend American Legion Auxiliary Comhusker Girls State June 2-8, 2024, at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

St. Edward American Legion Post 226 is announcing that Jacob Reeves and Marcos Campa have been selected to attend Cornhusker Boys State from June 2-8, 2024 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln downtown campus.

St. Edward High School vocal and instrumental students will be competing in the District Music Contest at Norfolk High School this Friday, April 19.

Thirteen St. Edward FFA members traveled to the 96th State FFA Convention in Lincoln on April 3-5.

Expenses for ball field improvements and repair work for the city swimming pool were approved by the St. Edward City Council during its regular meeting Monday night, April 1.

Cindy Sorensen, social services director at Cloverlodge Care Center, St. Edward, was honored on her retirement from the facility with an open house event there Monday, April 1.
