Lindsay Academy project includes new Christian school, public library

Planning, fund-raising and construction efforts are continuing at Lindsay for the new Lindsay Academy, an independent 7-12 Christian school to be located there. Organizers say the new school, opening for the fall of the 2024-25 school year, will be available to families of all faiths, with teachings rooted in the Catholic faith.

Benefit event set for infant daughter

A special benefit event is planned for Teigyn Reynolds, infant daugher of Skylar and Cabre (Johnson) Reynolds, at Ewing on Sunday, April 14. Teigyn was diagnosed with a rare lung disorder, and funds are being raised for a portable oxygen machine to make trips to doctor’s appointments safer for her.

Boone-Nance teams again place among best at State 4-H Horse Bowl

Boone-Nance County 4-H teams were again among the best in the annual 4-H Horse Bowl, which was held during the Nebraska State 4-H Horse Stampede on the UNL East Campus, March 23. The Boone-Nance intermediate team of Tinsley Neidhardt, Josie Rother, Lora Sonderup, Luke Sonderup and Dorothy Smith outlasted all their competitors to capture the championship in their division, according to Steve Pritchard, Extension educator and coach.
