A pair of young hoopsters with Albion ties were in All-Star basketball action this past week. Aubrey Carder and Turner Flanagan competed in the 8th grade girls and boys divisions of the 23rd Annual Battle Sports/Blair Freeman 2024 All-Star Basketball Games at Bellevue East High School March 21.

Newman Grove FFA members performed well in the Battle Creek Livestock Judging Invitational last week. Earning individual rankings were: Dylan Luetkenhaus, second; Kailey Patzel, sixth; Aubree Whitake, 16th; Max Stenger, 22nd; Marley Hall, 30th; Allyx Forre, 33rd, and Nate Fowlkes, 34th.

Four BC Cards selected for Mid-State Conference court awards

Freshman Hedlund reps BC Selections for 2024 Mid-State All-Conference girls basketball honors, voted on by conference coaches, were announced this past week. Boone Central freshman Addy Hedlund was rewarded for an impressive debut season with selection to the 10-player All-Conference team.
